- The great advantage of the Fair is the possibility of meeting our existing counterparties in the same time and place. However, that’s not all – being here is also a great opportunity to make contact with new customers within the industry, from manufacturers of materials, machinery and equipment for material processing all the way to end customers. I am very pleased to have participated in this unique event and I am looking forward to next year's edition! - said Julian Eder from HELM AG of the 8th International Trade Fair KOMPOZYT-EXPO®. It is difficult to find a better summary of the most important meeting in the composites industry, which took place at EXPO Krakow on 11-12 October 2017.
This year, a record number of 230 Exhibitors from Poland and abroad, among others from Belarus, the Czech Republic, China, France, Holland, Japan, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA, the UK and Italy, took part in that event.
One novelty of this year's edition was the Active Zone. Here, sports equipment in which innovative composite materials were used was presented. Visitors' attention was drawn, among others, to racing cars, the AGH Solar Boat, the AGH Aero Team ILK unmanned aircraft, the AGH E-moto electric motorcycle, the AGH Space Systems rocket and rover, and Tedi Sport canoes. Attendees were also interested in the Technical Presentation Zone and seminaries, organized in cooperation, among others, with the Polish Society of Composite Materials and the AGH University of Science and Technology, entitled "Composites in Research and Development Works of Scientific Units in Poland".
The exhibition is more and more often visited by students who wish to pursue a professional career in the composites industry. The fair is a great opportunity for them to talk to potential employers.
- There are more and more talented young engineers at the Fair – this is a very positive trend. Innovations in technology should be born in universities and then developed in Polish manufacturing companies. For many years, our company has been supporting students in deepening their knowledge, developing research projects and transferring solutions to business. The cooperation between science and industry is very important to us. It is very much in our interest to limit the brain drain. We are very pleased to host students at our stand - says Janusz Golonka, Product Manager at CL Sp. z o.o.
